Terms of Service
Pre-launch draft: Sylvadi Design Inc. operates Expense Pools from Canada. These terms are implementation scaffolding and still require legal review of dispute terms, liability language, mailing details, and the commercial model.
1. The service
Expense Pools helps groups record shared expenses and calculate balances. It is an organizational tool, not a bank, payment processor, lender, accountant, tax adviser, or legal adviser. The service does not move money or guarantee that another person will pay a balance.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information, keep credentials secure, and promptly report unauthorized access. Expense Pools does not impose a product-specific minimum age, but you must be legally capable of accepting these terms or use the service with the involvement and consent required by applicable law. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.
3. Pools and invitations
Pool owners and administrators control pool membership and guest participants. Invitations require acceptance before account access is granted. Do not invite or identify people for harassment, impersonation, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.
4. Shared records
Information entered into a pool can be visible to its members. Members should agree on what to record and how to resolve disagreements. Calculations depend on the information users provide and may need correction when that information is incomplete or inaccurate.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not compromise accounts, bypass access controls, or probe the service without authorization.
- Do not upload unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or malicious content.
- Do not use invitations, automation, or exports for spam or abusive activity.
- Do not interfere with the service or place unreasonable load on it.
6. Availability and changes
The service may change, experience interruptions, or temporarily enter read-only maintenance. Material changes that affect user rights will be communicated as required.
7. Account closure and data
Before public launch, the final terms will define account deletion, ownership transfer, export availability, retention of shared transaction history, and what happens when a pool member leaves.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The final warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity terms, and exceptions required by applicable law must be supplied by qualified counsel for the operator’s jurisdiction.
9. Governing terms
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Canada, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. The final venue and dispute process remain subject to legal review before these terms become effective.
